Apparently one form of the exam had a printing issue and some questions and/or answers were truncated.

The LSRPA has raised this issue to NJDEP the the Department’s response is below:

From: Pinto, Frank [email protected]

Mr. Oberer:

Our examination contractor, Caviart, is aware of the problem.  It stemmed from a printing error of one form of the exam that truncated answer choices in a couple of questions.  Other forms were not affected.  Caviart advised the candidates of the problem during the exam that they might encounter that situation.

As a result, two items will be deleted from that exam form.  That exam form will be equated separately from the others so that any impact of the issue will be appropriately considered in setting the cut score.  Therefore the problem will not negatively affect any candidate who may have had this particular exam form.

Obviously Caviart does not like to have any errors with such exams, but they do happen so they have processes in place to be certain that such errors do not impact any candidate results.

Please pass this information along to the person that made you aware of this situation.  Let me know if you have any additional questions.
