Nominating Committee

Mission Summary

The Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying, recruiting and certifying a properly selected slate of candidates for the Board of Trustees to be placed in nomination before the membership for election to the Board of Trustees.

The LSRPA Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee announce guidelines for the minimum qualifications of candidates that wish to serve on the Board of Trustees.
 
In the interest of transparency and inclusion, the Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee have developed guidelines for the minimum qualifications of candidates that wish to serve on the BOT. The qualifications guidelines, available here, will be reviewed annually by the Nominating Committee after the Nominating Committee provides the Board of Trustees with its recommendations for the slate of candidates. Any revisions to the guidelines that are approved by the Board of Trustees will be posted on the LSRPA website prior to the start of the nomination cycle for the following year.

2023 Call for Nominations for Board of Trustees (BOT) Positions

Deadline Extended to 5:00pm on July 28, 2023

The LSRPA is requesting applications for nominations from LSRPA general members in good standing for the seven (7) positions on the Board of Trustees (BOT) when the current terms expire in December 2023. BOT members are voted-in at the Association's Annual Meeting for a two-year term.

The LSRPA Nominating Committee is responsible for receiving, evaluating and recommending a properly selected slate of candidates to be placed in nomination before the membership for election. This year’s Nominating Committee members are Allen Attenborough (Chair), Rohan Tadas (Vice-Chair), Dudley Warner, Christopher Venezia,  Kathleen Whooley, Michael Morris and Cathy Bryant.

The seven (7) BOT positions that expire this term are currently held by David Morris, Ken Haduch, William Call, Michael Poland, Candace Baker, John Scagnelli and Andrew Robins.

The committee has formalized a set of the nominations metrics that will be used in the selection process. The basic requirements are as follows:

  1. Nominees must be an active member of LSRPA in good standing; self-nominations from LSRPA members who are in good standing are permitted.
  2. Sitting Board Members must renominate and submit a completed application.
  3. Nominations must be received by 5:00 pm on July 14, 2023. Deadline extended to 5:00pm on July 28, 2023.
  4. All nominees are subject to conflict of interest verification.
