Nominating Committee

Mission Summary

The Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying, recruiting and certifying a properly selected slate of candidates for the Board of Trustees to be placed in nomination before the membership for election to the Board of Trustees.

The LSRPA Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee announce guidelines for the minimum qualifications of candidates that wish to serve on the Board of Trustees.

In the interest of transparency and inclusion, the Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee have developed guidelines for the minimum qualifications of candidates that wish to serve on the BOT. The qualifications guidelines, available here, will be reviewed annually by the Nominating Committee after the Nominating Committee provides the Board of Trustees with its recommendations for the slate of candidates. Any revisions to the guidelines that are approved by the Board of Trustees will be posted on the LSRPA website prior to the start of the nomination cycle for the following year.

The nomination cycle for 2021 has been delayed from that outlined within Association Policy No. 2019-03, to allow for this notification of membership and the publishing of these guidelines on the LSRPA website. An announcement for applications for nominations from LSRPA general members in good standing for available positions on the Board of Trustees for the 2021 service term is expected shortly.

The new terms will continue until the membership vote on the slate of nominees at the 2023 annual meeting to held within 60 days of December 31, 2022, a term of two years.
