Construction Dewatering Treatment and Permitting RequirementsDate: May 13, 2025 Instructors:
Construction dewatering can be a source of uncertainty when planning for soil excavation at a site remediation project. When excavating below the water table, it brings up many questions. How will we remove the groundwater? Is the groundwater contaminated? How to dispose of the groundwater? Does the groundwater need to be treated? What permits are required? This presentation will address those questions and help you plan for construction dewatering during your next “big dig”.
Immediately following the presentation and Q&A session, there will be an open forum roundtable discussion identifying critical issues or problems LSRPs feel directly impacts their work. Please come prepared to share during the roundtable. The session will be moderated by Michael Poland, PE, LSRP.
