Course Description:
In this two-hour course, participants will learn the basics of writing a technical report for submission to the NJDEP Contaminated Sites Remediation and Redevelopment Program as well as the fundamentals of communicating risk to a broader audience. Instructors will address risk communication basics and best practices, showcasing the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) PFAS Risk Communication Toolkit and other communication resources. A focus on understanding regulatory requirements and documenting compliance in written reports will be provided. Lastly, common problem areas such as citations, hyphenation, and abbreviations, with practical examples, will be reviewed.
