Description:
Environmental practitioners, attorneys, engineers, real estate professionals and developers must use the highest standard of care and responsibility when performing and assessing environmental due diligence. We are here to help you do your homework and ensure regulatory requirements are met and the highest standard is achieved!
In just 4 hours, we will educate practitioners on the environmental risks and liabilities associated with real estate transactions; how environmental due diligence can limit those risks and liabilities; and identify applicable laws, regulations, standards, and guidance documents governing due diligence.
Attendees of this course will receive:
- An overview of the types and components of environmental due diligence and when they should be performed in NJ.
- A review of the two primary types of environmental assessments in New Jersey, the ASTM Phase Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA) and the Preliminary Assessment (PA), and what they include, what they don't, the protections they offer, and when they should be performed.
- An understanding of the role and legal liability of Licensed Site Remediation Professionals.
- Knowledge of due diligence-related legal nuances that are commonly encountered during real estate transactions.
- Experience gained from numerous case studies used for illustration purposes.
