Description:

In late-2022, the NJDEP is expected to release a new guidance document on the topic of Perimeter Air Monitoring (PAM).  Although the NJDEP’s Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (the “Tech Regs”) have always contained a PAM requirement (contained in N.J.A.C. 7:26E-5.5(b)7), PAM has been loosely considered at sites undergoing remediation. This is the first formal guidance document to address this subject is sure to usher in a wave of new attention on the importance of perimeter air monitoring.

This talk will discuss the fundamentals of PAM as well as risk management issues.  Because the draft PAM guidance document has not been released yet, the presenters cannot speculate on the details; however, in this presentation Aspiring Professionals will learn how to plan and execute a well-thought-out PAM program that employs sound and reasonable components, such as equipment, and protocols that can help reduce the overall risk to stakeholders during remediation and be protective to human health and the environment. BBQ and Oktoberfest fare and drink will be provided for participants.

Cost: $20 per person
