The Fundamentals of Perimeter Air MonitoringDate: September 20, 2022
Perimeter Air Monitoring Programs (PAMPs) are becoming typical on many site remediation projects. There is a need for PAMPs due to the potential for contaminated vapors and particulates to impact surrounding populated areas and the increase in concern about the adverse health effects due to remedial actions. The NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation rule requires a perimeter air monitoring and action plan to be implemented during a remedial action, if applicable, to monitor and control off-site excursion of dust, vapor, and odors. In 2022, the NJDEP is expected to release a new guidance document providing much needed practical triggers, design, and implementation guidance for PAMPs.
Immediately following the presentation and Q&A session, there will be an open forum roundtable discussion identifying critical issues or concerns LSRP’s feel directly impacts their work. The session will be moderated by David Morris of Tectonic Engineering.
