PFAS are a class of man-made chemicals, not naturally found in the environment. With the adoption of remediation standards for select PFAS compounds, LSRPs must ensure they understand the basics regarding these compounds and how to address them.
In this introductory course, we will review PFAS basics, including terminology, naming conventions, historic uses, and other key information. Information will be presented on both the regulatory aspects of PFAS as well as the technical considerations in terms of preliminary assessment, site investigation and remedial options.
This training class is an excellent opportunity for LSRPs to increase their awareness of PFAS and obtain useful knowledge of how to address them at their sites.
