Description: Due diligence is the process where environmental professionals, attorneys, engineers, real estate professionals and developers, have the opportunity to assess risks and protect clients from unwarranted environmental liability in real estate and other business transactions.

The focus of the Due Diligence in New Jersey course is to educate those professionals on the environmental risks and liabilities potentially associated with real estate transactions; how environmental due diligence can limit and offer protections against those risks and liabilities; and identify the various laws, regulations, standards, and guidance documents from where the due diligence activities are extracted.

  • An overview of the types and components of environmental due diligence and when they should be performed

  • Knowledge of due diligence-related legal nuances that are commonly encountered during real estate transactions
