Course Description:

The enactment of the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) in 2009 established the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program and changed the process of how sites are remediated in the state of New Jersey. In August of this year, Governor Phil Murphy signed into law legislation which amends SRRA. The amendments are wide-ranging and include numerous changes designed to address some of the practical issues that have arisen and to implement some “lessons learned” over the ten years since the law was enacted. The changes are substantial and anyone addressing a contaminated site should be familiar with them.

The goal of this informative course is to provide a detailed overview of the important changes to SRRA. The instructors will review the changes specific to the work of Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs), Site Remediation program requirements and also discuss the risk management challenges with these changes. It is imperative that LSRPs and environmental practitioners are aware of the changes to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
