Contaminants of Emerging Concern Committee

Mission Summary

The Contaminants of Emerging Concern committee is working to provide a procedural resource for LSRPs regarding the remediation of contaminants of emerging concern in New Jersey with a specific emphasis on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The focus of the workgroup is not the science behind the remediation of these compounds, analytical methodology, or remediation standards but rather the procedural aspects of remediating these compounds at sites in New Jersey. A primary goal of this workgroup is to communicate the challenges facing LSRPs to the NJDEP and open a stakeholder effort with the Department to establish guidance for LSRPs.
