Description:
The topic of the September 21,
2021 Member Regulatory Roundtable is “Practical Application of Presumptive
Remedies” with a presentation by Andrew Robins.
LSRPs are regul
arly involved with contaminated sites being redeveloped for residential pur
poses, and capping of such sites, or portions thereof, is often a viable re
medial option. The NJDEP has established a set of remediation criteria, kno
wn as presumptive remedies, for the proper implementation of these engineer
ing and institutional controls at sites where the intended use of the prope
rty will be for a school, childcare center, or residence. This discussion w
ill provide LSRPs and environmental practitioners alike with the informatio
n needed to comply with NJDEP’s statutory, regulatory, and practical aspect
s of the Presumptive and Alternative Remedy Technical Guidance. Time will b
e allowed for Q&A.
The presentation will be followed by an i
nteractive open forum roundtable discussion moderated by Ken Haduch. During
this portion of the program, attendees will be given an opportunity to ide
ntify critical issues or concerns they feel directly impact the work of LSR
Ps.
