Description: This new 3-hour course will educate LSRPs and environmental practitioners with the most current NJDEP and USEPA requirements for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) remediation. Instructed by Rodger Ferguson and Keith Gagnon, this course will provide a thorough overview of PCB laws, regulations and remediation requirements. The presentation will include: The history, chemistry, use, and toxicity of PCBs; a summary of the components of the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), including regulations and implementation of the Act; coordination efforts between USEPA and NJDEP policies, notification requirements, similarities and differences in terms of standards, reporting requirements, financial assurance and much more.
