Description:

Indicators, tracers, and surrogates (ITS) are a collection of quantifiable metrics and tools that are considered a potential solution for making vapor intrusion pathway assessment and long-term monitoring more informative, efficient, and cost-effective. This presentation will evaluate the importance of site conditions for sample collection and demonstrate new technology to support a robust multiple lines of evidence approach.

Real-world case studies will discuss the continuous measurement of field parameters, such as total VOCs, temperature, humidity, and pressure, which were evaluated to determine when conditions were ideal for vapor intrusion sample collection. Instructed by Julia Roth and Chase Holton, this course will exemplify the benefits of incorporating ITS monitoring into your vapor intrusion sampling plan to ultimately enhance the overall efficiency of the remediation.
