“PFAS Volatility”Course: 7:45am – 9:30am (NEW TIME!)
Moderator: David Morris LSRP, CHMM, LIEC, Tectonic Engineering Consultants The topic of the May 18, 2021 Member Regulatory Roundtable is “PFAS Volatility” with the presentation by Julia Roth and Chase Holton. They will provide an overview of the history and recent discoveries related to Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in air. In addition, they will include background on volatile and semi-volatile compounds produced during PFAS production, and they will review theoretical Henry’s Law constants and theoretical vapor pressures that suggest which PFAS compounds may be found in air. Discussions will include an in-depth analysis of experimental work on sampling and analysis methods used to quantify PFAS in air as well as a focus on current research and remaining research gaps. Time will be allowed for Q&A.
