Call for Technical Presentation Abstracts and Instructions for Submittal 

The New Jersey Site Remediation Conference (NJSRC) is the only conference dedicated specifically to the needs of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and professionals conducting site remediation under the LSRP program. It promotes the core principals of the LSRPA Association (LSRPA) and provides LSRPs and other environmental professionals with the opportunity to enhance their professional practice and show-case their technical, regulatory and consulting expertise.

We welcome abstracts for technical presentations for topics related to the LSRP practice and the remediation of contaminated sites. Presentations will be delivered in Theme Sessions, consisting of three presentations, each presentation 30 minutes long.  The presenters will be in the room, seated at the presenter table for the entire session.  Potential topics for sessions are listed below. Other sessions could be organized depending upon the abstracts submitted.

Session 1 - Innovative Approaches to Site Characterization

This session will highlight topics such as : High resolution site characterization, fractured rock characterization, geophysical technics, analytical chemistry, use of UAVs (drones), forensics, geogenic/ naturally occurring contaminants

Session 2 - Innovative Approaches to Site Remediation

This session will highlight topics such as:  Remediation in fractured rock and complex geology, technological advances in remediation, green and sustainable remediation, analytical chemistry, remediation of munitions, regulatory challenges in remediation

Session 3 - Emergent Contaminants

This session will highlight topics such as:  Risk assessment, risk communication and standard development, analytical chemistry, site characterization, site remediation, LSRP issues related to emergent contaminants

Instructions to Authors

  • Submit your abstract (click here to download the submittal form) via email with the subject line “NJSRC 2022 Abstract Submission – last name” to [email protected].  Please submit as a .doc file.  The abstract title is limited to 200 characters and the abstract text is limited to 2,000 characters.
  • Remediation projects are often confidential.  The presenter is responsible for obtaining any and all required releases and permissions, prior to submitting abstract.
  • All speakers must pay the registration fee to speak and attend the Annual Meeting.
  • All sessions will take place at the New Brunswick Hyatt Hotel.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to accept or reject submittals at its sole discretion.
  • Placement of presentations in the schedule will be at the sole discretion of the organizing committee.
  • Technical Presentations will be on February 16, 2022.
  • The length of a technical presentation is 30 minutes (20 to 25 minutes presentation plus 5 to 10 minutes for questions and answers).

  • Deadline for submission Wednesday, September 22, 2021, 5:30 pm (EDT)
  • Notification of acceptance: Monday, October 11, 2021, 5:30 pm
  • Deadline to withdraw an accepted abstract: Monday, October 18, 2021, 5:30 pm
